How do you go about solving 7c of which I can solve basic Pascal questions and my attempt of 7d is as below though I don’t know how to

For 7c, let z = y^2 then use the binomial theorem to find the x^(4)z^(8) term. For 7d, a geometric series is ∑r^n = 1/(1-r) so see what r would be in terms of x and work backwards.
