I think it's just asking for the volume of that shape. which you can get by finding the volume of the cylinder and subtracting the volume of the rectangular prism.

radius = 8 square it = 64
64pi is the cross sectional area with no hole, 64pi* 2(depth) = 128pi volume of cylinder, then for the cuboid, 3*6*2=36cm^3
so final answer:
(128pi- 36)cm^3 in terms of pi
