I took my entire Calc series online. Had no issues.

You have to stay on top of it though. If you fall behind you're toast. Especially during a summer term since they're usually condensed.

As for getting help. That depends entirely on your professor/instructor. Use outside resources if your find your class lectures lacking. ProfessorLeonard has full courses on a lot of subjects you can use.

Good luck

I feel like you're going to get a lot of different answers for this. I'm going to make the disclaimer here and now that I do not have a natural aptitude for advanced mathematical concepts so make what you will of my experience.

I could NOT do it. I tried to take an online Calc 1 course and it was the only class I failed in college. I need to be able to ask questions in real time and have a conversation with people to truly understand things. Admittedly this was over 10 years ago and I'd image things have changed a bit with online classes since then but it can be tough for some people.

I took calc 3 online after taking 1&2 in high school so it was a new topic and a new pace for me. Keeping up wasn’t to hard as the class set up a discord and we could go to each other for help. Going to the professors office hours is really crucial though if you really want to get all the material. In all my courses I’ve gotten the best knowledge from either the lab courses or the office hour sessions. I wouldn’t suggest chugging everything even though it can make the course super easy but I would suggest it as a backup. There have been many times when it was past office hour time or really close to the due date and no one could figure out the homework, chegg definitely gave some really insightful work that helped me understand problems and formulas a lot better. Remember to stay focused and ask for help from who ever you can when you need it!!
