Do you mean the integral of cos^(2)(x) ?
Rearrange the double angle formula { cos(2x) := 2cos^(2)(x) - 1 } as { cos^(2)(x) = 1/2 - 1/2 cos(2x) } and go from there.
EDIT: Also your prof missed out the constant of integration ;P
