If you put units on it, it will help you.  There are 0.25 earth years/1 alien day.

Make equation:

x alien days \* 0.25 earth years/1 alien day = 400 earth years

x = 400/0.25 = 1600 alien days

If 1 Earth year = 4 days, then 400 Earth years would be 400(4) = **1600 days.**

1 day --> 3 months.

4 days --> 1 year.

40 days --> 10 years.

400 days --> 100 years.

800 days --> 200 years.

1,600 days --> 400 years.
