Start by expanding (x+h)^3 - Then you should be able to find a common factor h in both denominator and numerator.

You can’t use l hopital rule here regardless. That would require you to differentiate the numerator, except to do that, you’d need the derivative of x^3, which is what you’re trying to find here.

If you look at this, its basically a trick definition of the derivative disguised as a limit question.

You won't end up with an actual number here.
You'll end up with x + 2x\^2
