It says proportional to B^2, i.e. A = kB^2.

Now write B in terms of A and see what happens when you half A.

I don’t really understand proportionality with squares or squareroots. I tried making it into an equation like A = kB where k is a constant but I don’t have any values so I didn’t really know where to proceed. Not sure if the question is possible to be solved but maybe someone here could help :)

A = kB^2

A’ = kB’^2

A’ = A/2 = kB^2 / 2

kB^2 / 2 = A’ = kB’^2

Should be straightforward now
