I have an interview tomorrow for a job and their description is as follows;

• Design, develop and implement key technical integration roadmaps for partners.
• Work with partners to detail their product feature releases and map key messaging to projects.
• Ownership of partner landscape and category designation.
• Key accountability in creating and maintaining system documentation.
• Support the Head of Commercial Technology in partner activation campaigns and activations.
• Collaborate with 3rd parties and vendors to implement systems, upgrades and migrations.


Could I please get some help understanding what these points mean?

Essentially, you are handling all aspects of third-party partners activities etc.

If I'm correct, it is a critical **senior** role.

I think that the successful applicant will have a **lot** of experience working with third-party firms.

It's a blend of technical, business & people skills.

It might also involve  a lot of travel.

I don't want to be negative, but it might be a short interview.

Of course, they might be seeking someone to **grow** into the role.

I found the original job posting. Here's what it looks like to me: This company works with vendors or strategic partners who provide technical capabilities (looks like mostly IT related tech?). Your job is to get those things working smoothly at your company.

Probably your day-to-day would be:

* Figuring out who needs the capabilities and how urgent it is
* Figuring out the dependencies, requirements, and processes needed
* Working with your team lead + company leadership to draw up timelines
* Building whatever needs to be built to make it happen

Kinda reads like a bunch of genero language to deflect from it being some kinda glorified executive assistant/business systems analyst/implementation coordinator/vendor manager/liaison.

Definitely doesn’t read like a DS role.

Does this mean working with partners and uunderstand their capabilities, then work with them to add value to the my company?

Working with partners… projects?
Would this be to analyse how well their features have been taken, and report on their effectiveness?

Ownership of… category designation?
I don’t have the slightest clue on this one haha!!
 
Support… activations?
What does activations in this context mean? I’m assuming it’s again similar to helping partners join and then analyse how effective a partnership is?
