I enjoyed the piece about Professor Shiing-Shen Chern. He was my professor for undergrad algebraic topology many decades ago at the University of California at Berkeley. He was a very warm man who cared deeply about his students. It wasn't till many years later that I learned how accomplished and famous he was.

How did you manage equations? I went through your first post and found it nice that I could jump from equation to equation by clicking links like `(5)`

I’ve never subscribed to a blog before, but I’d really want to for yours. I see I can subscribe by RSS, never done that before. Is there a way I can get email notifications when you post? Perhaps RSS accomplishes that, but I’m not at home to try it for the first time
