How many have you applied to? I applied to 40 or so before even getting a response. Just gotta spam those applications

Just gonna say that the job market is crazy right now. I am a manager and sometimes hear other people involved in recruiting talking about mountains of applications. So, just keep applying.

I would say that you should really get another exam passed whenever possible (which should be soon because FM has lots of sittings throughout the year.)

SoCali isn’t known for their bustling actuarial community. Might need to broaden the geography of jobs you are applying to. I got lucky and got a job with the first company I applied to and interviewed for, but the search can be quite harsh for somebody starting out. Don’t lose faith! Pass FM in the meantime as well

I am starting the job hunt next month. I am a math teacher career changer. No exams yet but I will hopefully pass P in July and FM in August.

No experience with actuarial work but I taught statistics, I am familiar with Excel, learning SQL now, beginner with Python.

Have you found a job? What things are on your resume? Are you looking for remote?
