Set up a system of equations. The first equation should have equal present values between assets and liability. The second should have the durations be equal. And solve respectively for A1 and A9.

X = A1 and Y = A9

Xv^1 + Yv^9 = 2000v^2 is one equation
Derive it to get the second equation
Pretty sure that’s how you do it and it’s Redington Imunization

As anamorph29 pointed out, I am also not sure what units time 1 and time 9 are meant to be. The question isn’t well defined, at least to me.
